Lately it’s been all about updating your closet for the cooler months there are boots and suede aplenty, but we can’t forget about updating our makeup looks for the fall too.
Recently I was gifted some items from the Esteé Edit, the newest makeup line from Esteé Lauder featured exclusively at Sephora. At first look I loved the bottles and was excited to try out the line because I’d seen so much buzz about it. I was heading out the door when the package arrived and I decided to swipe on some of the Flash Illuminator instantly. Let’s just say this product going to help keep my glow during the fall months. The illuminator is great because it can be layered for minimal glow or extreme; it’s a keeper for sure.
I tried out the skin glowing balm for my weekend face and it was light plus gave my face a pretty essence. There wasn’t too much dewiness but just a enough, which means it will be perfect for a no makeup makeup look in autumn. It will most likely replace my mattifying foundation since I won’t be worried about a sweaty face for a little while. And with the variety of shades I have I’ll also try using this to contour my face. Werk honey!
I’m also looking forward to trying out this Tarte concealer because y’all, your girl has been through some concealers, okay? I’ve tried NARS, LA Girl, Bobbi Brown, and still been disappointed. But after seeing the brush on this Tarte concealer I had to have it. The brush you ask? Yes, it’s big and juicy and I won’t need 32 pumps to cover underneath my eyes like I usually do. I’ll report back!
As you can also see another Formula 10.0.6 item has made it’s way to me. This time it’s a scrub and before I talk about the perks of this face wash let me just tell you – it smells like love. Last month I tried out a face wash that was recommended from a Sephora beauty clerk and it caused my skin to breakout. I’ve since been nurturing it back to health and needed a scrub that was gentle but effective – enter One Smooth Operator. And like Sadé it satisfied my needs, coast to coast, LA to Chicago. This brand is proving to be a winner time and time again.
In addition to bringing some of the Esteé Edit into my makeup routine, I’ve also been using this Laura Mercier nourishing oil and will keep it around all year long. It brings so much moisture to my face and gives the ultimate shine without feeling greasy. I honestly can say this hands down this is helped bring my skin back to where it had been before my last pregnancy.
While you’re packing up your summer wardrobe don’t hesitate to throw out some of that summer makeup right along with it. It’s time for bold lips and dark shadow!
