Yes I realize this pun is cheesy but I couldn’t resist. And what ever happened to that guy anyway? I guess everyone’s fifteen minutes can’t last forever right? That’s why I always say find something that can sustain you and not just entertain you. A word. Enough on that though I finally got my hands on a gingham piece that doesn’t scream picnic in the park and I want to share it with you! Jump in to see how I gave this black and white print a dose of chic!
While black and white are seemingly to two most easy shades to match colors with – when it comes to prints that’s a whole other story. Gingham has been seen all over the place lately from Zara to ASOS and J.Crew and while I’ve had a few pieces here and there attempting this all over look was a feat. Luckily I snagged this dress and the perfect cobalt blue shoe to bring some POP to the situation.
You may have also noticed that earrings are having a moment right now. Long baubles to frills and dangles, the thing to do now is give your ears a chance to shine. As a girl who hasn’t worn more than hoops or studs for years now this trend is likening me back to my years on the poetry circuit. When earpieces made of bone and a variety of colors were my forté. I’m not sure I’ll be jumping all the way back in, but these have been in my jewelry box collecting a little dust so I brought them out to play.
Don’t you just love this bag charm?! I love to add things to my purses to make them one of a kind and during my trip to Mexico I fell in love with these handmade charms all the ladies we’re selling. I won’t tell you how many I came home with but let’s just say I bought a huge woven beach bag to tote them all back to California in.
I’m glad I was able to find a wearable item that fit in line with my style for this trend. Especially because I think it’s super cute, hello color crush! The best thing about this dress is that I can think of all kinds of ways to style it – over pants, with knee high boots, and even with a vest. The possibilities are endless. So don’t be shocked it you see it again!
