Kimono Mama

I‘d like to take this opportunity to thank whoever was in charge at Anna Wintour’s office and said, “this is the year of the kimono.” I’ve long dreamed of the days when I would take meetings whilst I leisurely lounged by the pool knowing that my accountant was keeping track of my businesses with a watchful eye. Wearing a kimono in the middle of the day while I walked down the beach was exactly what my dreams looked like and honestly I’ve never been more excited to make them come true. This kimono mama is ready to live life in the lap of luxury. 

Surely one wouldn’t think that a simple robe could cause such a frenzy but face the facts friends I dream big and I dress for the life I want daily. Recently I’ve been trying to enforce the daily habit of writing down my goals and aspirations. I’ve found that the more I write, the more that comes to mind. It’s as though forcing myself to think of the goals I plan to fulfill creates even more space for things to bloom. It’s a practice in being precise with God and the universe about what I want from this life and I’m excited to see where it leads.

There is an instant sense of luxury that comes with wearing a kimono that’s why they’re so easily paired with denim whether shorts or otherwise, trousers, and dresses. The effortlessness of the piece can take most outfits up a notch. The idea of dressing for the life you want never meant anything to me because I don’t have a corporate job. Then I realized that mere fact didn’t exclude me from the school of thought. That, I too, am required can guide my road in the same fashion. I want to be views as an authority on style, a go to in fashion, and dressing the part daily involves that. Rocking a kimono makes it simple.
