Everything makes a come back; trends, styles, even exes from time to time. For me lately my wardrobe has been a return to casual chic. Meaning I’ve put off buying overstated items because I know that they won’t get worn or because they simply don’t fit into my life right now. Let’s be honest while tulle shirts like this are super cute, it isn’t for days spent taxiing my kids around. Which is why looks consisting of sneakers, dresses, and skirts are totally up my alley.
This drop hem number from Zara hopped itself right into my cart the moment I saw it. In fact I’m feeling inclined to go back get it in red and black as well. While I’m normally not one to load up on multiple versions of the same thing, this dress is certainly an exception. Though plain in color the style of the dress lends it to being styled casually as well as more glitzy.

I’ve also been wearing these Marni sandals nonstop since they arrived. What I thought would be a bit hard to break in because of the leather turned out to be my most comfortable pair of sandals. Again, I’m prepared to buy eight more pair off the strength of these babies alone. You’ve been forewarned, hahaha. This is my idea of a perfect outfit for running my daily errands in, grabbing brunch, or even just heading to my family’s house for Sunday dinner. Casual chic is a versatile look that makes my days easier without sacrificing style.
Whoever said casual Fridays had to be bad? What’s your go to look for keeping it casual?
