When I first saw these boots the thought that came to mind was, “is that velllllvveeetttt?!” A hilarious inside joke that came about in college and I’ll be honest with you ten years I don’t remember the entire thing, but I do recall that punch line. Needless to say when one see turquoise velvet boots online they must buy them. Even if they can’t fathom how they will wear them or what with – to the cart they go.Â
Since they’ve arrived I’ve been shocked to see how well they pair with most things; denim, dresses, knee grazing shorts as you see here. I have a thing for boy cut shorts and I scored these at Abercrombie late last year on sale for $34! They are a men’s size 34, remember when you’re shopping in the men’s section be mindful of your curves ladies. Most menswear isn’t meant to have hips and buns be sure to get a size that will have room for your lady bits.
This outfit is perfect for errands or even days for strolling at the beach like this. I love that these boots give a little luxury to something that could definitely look super casual. I remember being a teenager and my mom saying that I should throw on a pair of boots with an outfit so I could look more put together. While I rebelled very strongly then, I mean I preferred my Rainbows, I totally get it now. Better late than never right?
