Hey guys, I know I’ve been gone for a week but it’s homecoming season and I had to make an appearance at the illustrious Howard University! So sorry to leave with you without any hauteness for seven whole days but before this starts feeling like an old Toni Braxton song let me move on. For years I’ve been in love with most things animal print and fur. It’s just who I am, PETA will deal. It was probably about ten years ago back on my college campus when I decided I could never live without a leopard print shoe because to be honest – leopard is a neutral.
This isn’t the first time it has been said, my living fashion icon, Jenna Lyons has also made this declaration. While most people think of neutrals as muted shades; leopard print has proven that, it too, can stand alone OR alongside some great other textures, prints, and solids. It adds just a bit of sass to everything it’s paired with. Like this floral blouse and leather legging combo I’m wearing here.
