About a year ago, my family and I moved into our house. Before the big move I was super excited about having a grown up place to call my own. The idea of decorating and bringing my Pinterest boards to life, seemed easy. Now as I sit in my unfinished living room, semi finished kitchen, and far from complete master bedroom; I realize – making my house a home wasn’t as easy as I thought it’d be.
Inspiration like the ones below, live on my HAUTE Interiors board. So you can imagine my disappointment when I come home to a house that resembles a toy box and an often empty credenza. Help!
The incompleteness of my house is literally giving me anxiety. I get overwhelmed and stressed out looking at my overly loved couch. My partial gallery wall makes it seem like my family is missing a member since Baby C is nowhere to be found. Basically it’s time for me to get it together. It probably doesn’t help that as a style blogger you feel the need for everything to look instagram perfect, truth is – it’s all a work in progress. But I’m dedicated to making it happen! Check out my mood board below for a peek inside my inspiration.
As you can see I’m looking to keep the room bohemian with elements of glamour. I think that captures my style overall and isn’t girly enough to make my husband feel like he lives in a Barbie dream house. Hahaha. I will keep you guys updated on how it turns out!

OMG this is exactly how I feel everyday! There aren’t enough hours in the day or days in the week…I’ve finally told myself it’s ok to take the time to make it exactly how I want it to be! Thanks for making me feel normal & not alone!
