Let’s talk birds and bees friends. Okay maybe not the birds and the bees that made you uncomfortable as a teenager when your mom sat you down, but something even better. If your ear is to the fashion streets you know that appliqués are totally en vogue. You have got to get your patch game up if you aren’t there yet. The 4th of July usually calls for something covered in stars and stripes, but with this shacket I’m doing it a little differently this year! Jump in to take a look!

I already have a thing for camo jackets and shirts, throw a load of patches and splash of crystals on the back you’ve got a buyer in me. The studs lining the sides were just icing on the cake. With the Fourth of July just around the corner everyone will be rocking their red, white, and blue to show off their Americana pride. Personally while this is one of my favorite holidays I like to mix up the expected look with something a little different. This shacket, as it’s called online, the perfect way to break up the monotony of the usual patriotic look.

These Loft striped shorts with a paper bag waist are also a new found joy of mine. I’ve been trying lately to figure out the best clothes to wear for my figure and it hasn’t proven to be easy. But I think with these shorts I’ve found something that definitely works. I feel like they give me shape while helping me cover up my “problem” areas, read: mama pudge. Not to mention I scored them at 50% off – be sure to check out Loft’s summer sale to grab your own!

As a treat to myself last month I also picked up this Henri Bendel “Rivington” bag that is roomy and is basically a two in one! The wallet on the front zips off to become a cute crossbody which is excellent for being on the go. It was a great purchase and I think HB has officially made me a Bendel girl!

Details: T-shirt – Zara // Shacket – ASOS // Nike Blazers — Foot Locker // Purse – Henri Bendel // Striped Shorts – LOFT // Sunnies – c/o Rumba Time
It’s all about doing the Fourth different this year and of course a little birds and bees never hurt – hahaha!

Happy Holiday!

I REQLLY loved this post because I’ve been living by this simple rule of thumb. It’s helped so much because I’m focusing on who I have and not who I don’t!

    Great post!
