Tis the season of giving right? Which is why I gifted myself these super cute bow lined jeans because that’s what they meant by self-care. Don’t debate me on this, you all can have your K-beauty masks; I will have denim. There was once a time in my life when every pair of jeans I owned was designer and $200 plus. I don’t regret that era but I will say I am loving being free of the idea that it was Citizens of Humanity or bust. Not because I don’t love my CoH but then these cuties wouldn’t have made the cut. And what’s better during the holiday season then a haute mama wrapped up with a bow?
I discovered a few months ago the denim shape that suits me well and I haven’t gone back since. High waist, cut right at the ankle, well fitting but not too skinny. It’s what the cool kids would probably call “mom jeans” but since I’m an actual mom and I don’t want to feel like I’m dressing like Bobby Generic’s mother – I call them vintage cut. No matter what we name them the fact is I feel like a gift in them and they are a gift to me. Suck in the gut girls! Lift the butt! These jeans know their job and I appreciate them.
The added touch of bows only made me want them even more because sometimes a lil kitsch can go far. Since bodysuits are back in a major way I’ve been binging on those too. Something to slimming that’s not just a t-shirt tucked in. Can I talk about that for a minute? I can never seem to get the half tuck thing to work for me. Is it because I don’t have the abs of Teyana Taylor? Do I have to be a size two to make it happen? Someone call Tan and have the boys come straighten me out. Until then these bodysuits will be my saving grace.

With the holidays upon us everyone is focused on wrapping gifts, sending presents, and making things pretty. That’s what was on my mind seeing these pants, I thought how many ways can I style these before I can’t ever wear them again? Then I said, “I’ll be a present every time I wear them, who can get tired of that?!” Hahaha, also they kind of reminded me of something Blair of Atlantic-Pacific would likely wear. Chic on chic on chic.
